Navin Rojgar Chhatri Yojana” for all-round development of the Scheduled Castes is launched by the CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.
He provided financial assistance of 17.42 crore online to 3,484 people under the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Swarojgar Yojana’ and interacted with some beneficiaries from Rae Bareli, Gorakhpur, Basti, Meerut, Azamgarh, and Moradabad districts through video conferencing.

The state-run electricity giant National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Singrauli’s Unit 1 has emerged as the top-performing unit in the country in the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 as per the data released by Central Electricity Authority.
Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Shaktinagar in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is the first power plant of NTPC.

The state Cabinet cleared the new Uttar Pradesh Startup policy 2020.
The objective of the policy is to promote start-ups in the state, establish at least one incubator in each district and 100 incubators across the state, create an ecosystem for establishment of 10,000 staround artups etc.
The new policy will be applicable for the next five years.

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 5th July initiated ‘Mission Vriksharopan-2020‘ in Kukarel forest of the capital city Lucknow. Under this programme, more than 25 crore trees will be planted across the state.

Chak-Hao, the black rice of Manipur and the Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh’s terracotta have bagged the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. Chak-Hao, a scented glutinous rice has been in cultivation in Manipur over centuries. It has also been used by traditional medical practitioners as part of traditional medicine.
The terracotta work of Gorakhpur is a centuries-old traditional art form, where the potters make various animal figures like, horses, elephants, camel, goat, ox, etc. with hand-applied ornamentation.Some of the major products of craftsmanship include the Hauda elephants, Mahawatdar horse, deer, camel, five-faced Ganesha, singled-faced Ganesha, elephant table, chandeliers, hanging bells etc.
