Central govt again defines domicile for J&K; Perks and Privileges of ex-CMs of J&K taken away

  • The domicile of Jammu & Kashmir was redefined which has stated that a person residing in J&K for at least 15 years or has studied for a period of seven years there and appeared in Class 10 or 12 examinations will now be eligible to be a permanent resident of the UT.
  • The perks and privileges of ex-Chief Ministers of Jammu & Kashmir have been taken away after the central government repealed section 3-C of State Legislature Members’ Pension Act, 1984.
