MoU inked between Indian oil, NTPC Ltd, and SDMC for Waste to Energy plant in Delhi

  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked on Waste to Energy plant at Okhla, Delhi, between Indian Oil, NTPC Ltd and South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).
  • The plant has the potential to process 17500 tons of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) per annum from municipal solid garbage to generate Syngas which is used to produce electricity.

Fitch slashes India growth projection to 8% for FY22

  • Fitch Ratings on 29th June slashed India’s growth forecast for 2021-22 fiscal to 8 percent from 9.5 percent predicted last month. It, however, preserved its prediction of Indian economy contracting by (-5) percent in the current fiscal (FY2020-21).
