Raja Parba festival observed in Odisha. It is a 3-days different festival in which the onset of monsoon and the earth’s womanhood is observed by the state. It is considered that during this time the Mother Earth or Bhudevi undergoes menstruation. The fourth day is the day of the ‘purification bath’.
An ancient temple, sunk in river Mahanadi, has reappeared after 11 years in Nayagarh district (Odisha). An archaeology survey team of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) stumbled upon ‘mastaka’ of the temple submerged in Mahanadi waters at Padmabati village under Bhapur tehsil.

The ST&SC Welfare Department had earlier began the ‘Mission Suvidya’ project to give all the tribal hostels of the state uniform standards of infrastructure, amenities and human resources.
The Odisha Cabinet on 7th June recommended a proposal to give state anthem status of Odisha to ”Bande Utkala Janani”.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh said that the Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik agreed with state anthem status to ”Bande Utkala Janani”.
Odisha state put forward their Annual Action Plan before the National Committee supervised by Secretary, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti for consideration and permission for 2020-21. Govt of India sanctioned Rs 812 Crores for implementation of the Mission in the State for the financial year.
