New Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir: Manoj Sinha

  • Manoj Sinha was appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on August 6, 2020 by President Ram Nath Kovind. Sinha will be replacing Girish Chandra Murmu who resigned on August 5, 2020.

A total of 24 States now adopted ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’

  • Four additional states, namely Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Nagaland and Uttarakhand adopted the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ plan of the Central government. The remaining states/UT will implement this scheme by March 2021.
