Third phase of the ambitious Back to Village (B2V) programme will start from October 2 to 12, this year in J&K. The program is an introductory and interactive programme to understand the people’s grievances and demands.
The Jammu and Kashmir government set up a 10-member biodiversity council to document the biodiversity of the union territory. This council will maintain a Peoples Biodiversity Register (PBR) with the help of representatives from local governance bodies.

According to the J&K official languages Bill 2020, the official languages in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi along with Urdu and English.

Manoj Sinha was appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on August 6, 2020 by President Ram Nath Kovind. Sinha will be replacing Girish Chandra Murmu who resigned on August 5, 2020.
Four additional states, namely Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Nagaland and Uttarakhand adopted the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ plan of the Central government. The remaining states/UT will implement this scheme by March 2021.
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has established 12 AMRIT Pharmacies across the UT to reduce Out of Pocket Expenditure for consumers. These stores provide branded drugs and implants surgical and disposable at affordable prices.
