Odisha to organize 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup

  • The International Hockey Federation (FIH) had declared that the 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup will be organized in Odisha, for a second consecutive time.
  • The tournament will be held at two venues, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. The Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 was also hosted by Odisha.

Narinder Batra to remain as FIH’s President till 2021

  • Narinder Batra’s term as the President of International Hockey Federation(FIH) has been extended until May 2021.
  • The Executive Board of the FIH has also planned to postpone the 47th FIH Congress, originally planned on 28 October-1 November 2020 in New Delhi, to May 2021.
