Andhra Pradesh CM starts “Jagananna Chedodu” scheme

  • Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been launching welfare schemes for the prosperity of the poor, has embarked on another scheme. He started the Jagananna Chedodu scheme on Wednesday.
  • Goal:  Rs. 10,000 to Nayi Brahmins, Laundrymen and Tailors as financial support.

Karnataka bans online classes from LKG to V; cautions against rising fees

  • Minister for primary and secondary education S Suresh Kumar on 10th June announced that online classes cannot be carried out for the kids from LKG to class V.
  • He also said that severe action will be taken against the schools charging additional fees in the name of online classes.

Madhya Pradesh Government announces ‘Roko-Toko’ Campaign

  • In its fights against combating the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh will be launching a campaign named ‘Roko-Toko’ in the upcoming days. The campaign will focus on those who are not wearing masks in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Roko-Toko meaning Stop and Campaign will be launched in the state through volunteering by select organizations. As wearing a mask is mandatory in public places across the state, under the campaign, the volunteers will be tasked to provide a mask to those who are not wearing it in public places and further a Rs 20 will also be charged from the person as a cost for the mask.

  • Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh said that the Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik agreed with state anthem status to ”Bande Utkala Janani”.
