  • Jharkhand government on 4th May started three schemes under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in a bid to “strengthen the rural economy”.
  • Birsa Harit Gram Yojana for rural plantations: Under the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, over two lakh acres of land will be utilized for afforestation.
  • Jal Sammridhi Yojna: Under the Jal Sammridhi Yojna, water storage units will be built to save rainwater and runaway groundwater.
  • Veer SahidPotoHoKhelVikas Scheme: Under the playground scheme, the government targets to make 5,000 grounds, with at least one in one Panchayat.

UP govt releases three schemes for skill development in the state

  • Uttar Pradesh government has released three ambitious schemes for skill development and employment generation for youths in the state. 
  • The three schemes are Kaushal Satrang, Yuva Hub and apprenticeship scheme in Lucknow. UP government also declared to depute ”Arogya Mitras” at all primary health centres to inform people about govt health schemes.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) led by PM Narendra Modi launched the Scheme for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP). The Scheme will make a mechanism that will create for reimbursement of taxes/ duties/ levies at the central, state, and local levels. Google India starts Skill Development Programme For Women

Google India introduced DigiPivot, a skilling programme designed for women who are looking to return to their corporate careers after a break or simply planning to make mid-career shifts to digital marketing. It was developed in association with Avtar, a career portal service for women, and the Indian School of Business, the programme aims to influence the overall gender mix in the digital marketing landscape in India and will provide an opportunity for 200 women professionals to re-skill themselves.

Student Health Card scheme for school children started in J&K

Student Health Card

A “Student Health Card” scheme has been started in the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir. The scheme targets to check the malnutrition in school going children and to ensure good health of every school going children. The “Student Health Card” scheme was started during the programme which was organised by Directorate of Mid Day Meal, School Education Department in cooperation with the National Health Mission.

Objective: to ensure good health of school-going children, as health is a significant part of imparting quality education.
