- Jharkhand government on 4th May started three schemes under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in a bid to “strengthen the rural economy”.
- Birsa Harit Gram Yojana for rural plantations: Under the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, over two lakh acres of land will be utilized for afforestation.
- Jal Sammridhi Yojna: Under the Jal Sammridhi Yojna, water storage units will be built to save rainwater and runaway groundwater.
- Veer SahidPotoHoKhelVikas Scheme: Under the playground scheme, the government targets to make 5,000 grounds, with at least one in one Panchayat.
