1.75 lakh houses in Madhya Pradesh to be inaugurated by PM

  • On 12th September Prime Minister Modi will be virtually inaugurating 1.75 lakh houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) in Madhya Pradesh. Under PMAY-G, which was launched in November 2016, 1.14 crore houses have been built across the country so far.

ICMR clinical trial finds convalescent plasma therapy against COVID-19 to be ineffective

  • The trials called PLACID Trials were conducted between 22nd April and 14th July at 39 centres across the country. 
  • There was not any significant difference in mortality rates between those who received convalescent plasma therapy and those in the control group.
