  • Gujarat government launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Kisan Sahay Yojana’ (MMKSY) only as a replacement of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for a year. MMKSY will cover all the 56 lakh farmers in the state whereas PMFBY covers on an average, 15-17 lakh farmers applied for crop loan.

  • “Indira Van Mitan” Yojana was rolled out by Chhattisgarh government with an aim to make the forest dwellers of the state self-reliant. Under this scheme, the government will form groups of youth in 10,000 villages of tribal areas of the state to conduct all forest based economic activities that will create self-employment opportunities for the forest dwellers.
