- The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari has initiated the 1.5 km long Koilwar bridge over the Sone river in Bihar via Video Conferencing.
- This newly introduced bridge is a part of the six-lane bridge being made in place of the existing two-lane bridge, for both rail and road traffic, which is 138 years old.
