• National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), a PSU under the Ministry of Power, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, for the implementation of Narmada Landscape Restoration Project (NLRP).

AAI inks MoU with NTPC subsidiary, NVVN

• The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), to encourage usage of electric vehicles and set up solar power plants at the airports maintained and operated by AAI.

NTPC’s Singrauli Unit 1 emerges as India’s top-performing plant in first quarter of FY21

• The state-run electricity giant National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Singrauli’s Unit 1 has emerged as the top-performing unit in the country in the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 as per the data released by Central Electricity Authority.
• Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Shaktinagar in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is the first power plant of NTPC.

MoU inked between Indian oil, NTPC Ltd, and SDMC for Waste to Energy plant in Delhi

• A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked on Waste to Energy plant at Okhla, Delhi, between Indian Oil, NTPC Ltd and South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).
• The plant has the potential to process 17500 tons of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) per annum from municipal solid garbage to generate Syngas which is used to produce electricity.

India’s NTPC gets PMC job for 500-MW solar project in Mali

• Indian power producer NTPC Ltd has acquired a project management consultancy (PMC) contract for the construction of a 500-MW solar park in the Republic of Mali.

NTPC launches Hydrogen-powered cars and buses in Leh and New Delhi

• National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. has launched Hydrogen fuel based cars and buses in Leh and New Delhi that will prove very beneficial in reducing carbon emissions into the environment.
• This project got implemented under the Supervision and guidance of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
