The Government of Maharashtra declared that Dadasaheb Phalke and Sahitya Akademi winner Ratnakar Matkari will be posthumously praised with the Natvarya Prabhakar Panshikar award for his lifetime contribution to the theaters and arts. The award includes a citation, a memento and a cash prize of Rs.5 lakh.
