Japan commits ODA of Rs 3500 crore to fight COVID-19 in India

  • In order to fight the COVID-19 crisis, India will receive an Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan of an amount of JPY50 billion (approx. Rs. 3,500 crore) from the government of Japan for the COVID-19 Crisis Emergency Response Support.

Japan grants a loan of $3.1 million to Bangladesh

  • Japan grant a loan amount of $3.1 million to Bangladesh that will help them to built Jamuna railway bridge in parallel to the existing Bangabandhu Bridge, expansion of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Projects and Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway improvement project among the seven projects.

  • 6th of August marks the anniversary of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima during World War II as Hiroshima Day or Anti-Nuclear day. The horrific incident took place on August 6, 1945, when the United States dropped an atomic bomb named “Little Boy”, on the town of Hiroshima in Japan.
