● The Vice President unveiled the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at the CAG office in New Delhi to work on his vision to ensure independence and a wide mandate to the CAG.
● The Comptroller and Auditor General, CAG is a strong and credible institution and the credit for this must go to the framers of the Constitution, particularly to Dr. BR Ambedkar.

  • India and the European Union (EU) will hold their 15th bilateral Summit on July 15 via video conference.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will represent India while the EU will be represented by President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
  • Summit will review India-EU cooperation covering political & security relations, trade & investment and economic cooperation.

Cabinet endorses capital infusion of Rs 12,450 crore in 3 state-run insurance companies

  • The Union Cabinet on 8th July authorized capital infusion of Rs 12,450 crore for three public sector general insurance companies namely Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, National Insurance Company Ltd & United India Insurance Company Ltd (consisting Rs 25,00 crore infused in FY 2019-20).

MoU inked in June 2020 under Nepal-Bharat Maitri
