Union Cabinet approved a proposal for the construction of 780 kilometer of green highways on 13 March 2020. It was declared by the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. The project targets to rehabilitate and upgrade various National Highways in four states, namely Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
The Government of India, Government of Himachal Pradesh have inked a US$80 million loan agreement with the World Bank. The loan agreement aims to enhance water management practices and to improve agricultural productivity in 428 Gram Panchayats of Himachal Pradesh.
The traditional ‘Fagli’ festival was observed in Yangpa village of Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh to observe the “victory of good over evil”. The Himachal Pradesh Government has launched Himachal MyGov portal in Shimla with a view to strengthen public participation in the governance process. With this, Himachal Pradesh has become the 11th state in the country to have this facility.
MyGov is an innovative platform to build a partnership between citizens and government with the help of technology for growth and development of India. On this portal, the general public can also give their valuable suggestions for making the policies and programs more effective and result oriented.
Chief Minister Thakur also launched CM App on the occasion. Through this App, people of the state would be able to write directly to the Chief Minister regarding their grievances.
