PM Modi initiates the world’s largest renewable energy park in Gujarat

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 30,000 megawatts (MW) capacity hybrid renewable energy park in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
  • It will be the largest renewable energy park of its kind in the world. It is expected to play a major role in fulfilling India’s vision of producing 450 GW (4,50,000 MW) of power by 2030.

Indigenously-built Coast Guard interceptor boat C-454 commissions

  • The interceptor boat C-454, built by Larsen and Toubro at its Hazira plant, will operate from Gujarat under the control of the Commander Coast Guard Region North-West of the Indian Coast Guard. It was approved by Surat Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar.

Prime Minister Modi launches 3 major projects in Gujarat

  • On October 24, 2020 Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched 3 key projects in the state of Gujarat.
  • The newly launched projects include ‘Kisan Suryodaya Yojana’ which was recently announced by Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani.
  • The other two projects inaugurated by PM Modi included India’s biggest cardiac hospital, attached to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre at the City Hospital Campus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Girnar hill ropeway in Junagarh.
