A contest named ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’launched with an aim to promote innovators in the fields of defence and emerging technologies in India by DRDO.
The main objective of the Contest is to promote the individuals and start-ups for innovation in defence and aerospace technologies in the country after the call of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Award money, up to Rs 10 lakh for start-up and Rs 5 lakh in individual category, will be given to the winners.

A COVID-19 testing facility is established by DRDO in Leh with an aim to enhance the rate of testing of Coronavirus cases in UT of Ladakh.
The centre is inaugurated by the UT’s Lt Governor Shri RK Mathur and it is capable of screening 50 samples per day.
The facility follows the safety standards and guidelines given by ICMR.

Akash missile was designed and produced by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). Akash Missile is the first medium-range Surface to Air missile produced in India which can attack many targets from various directions.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has rolled out new products viz “Automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit” and “UV Sanitisation Box and Hand-held UV device” to enable COVID-19 disinfection process.
The automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit is based on water mist aerator technology.
UV Sanitisation Box will be used for the reason of disinfecting personal belongings such as mobile phones, tablets, purse, currency, the cover of office files, etc.

The “COVSACK” is a kiosk prepared by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the COVID-19 sample collections.
This newly made kiosk can make the process of collecting samples free of infection spread and will help in fighting the COVID-19.
