Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Minister of State for HRD Sanjay Dhotre have launched the most affordable COVID-19 test Kit.
It has been produced by IIT Delhi and manufactured by New Tech Medical Devices.
COROSURE is one of the companies which has received the non exclusive license from IIT Delhi for the probe free RT-PCR based COVID-19 test kit.

The Indian Railways has launched a new state-of-the-art, ‘Post Covid Coach’ in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus infection.
The Indian Railways’ production unit, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, has developed this new Post Covid Coach.
The salient features of the Post Covid Coach are handsfree amenities, copper-coated handrails & latches, plasma air purification and titanium di-oxide coating for Covid free passenger journey.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set up an independent panel to review its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the response by governments.
The panel will be co-chaired by former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
The panel will provide an interim report to an annual meeting of health ministers in November and present a substantive report in May 2021.

Russia has become the first nation to successfully complete the human trials of COVID vaccine. Russia’s COVID-19/coronavirus vaccine has proven to be effective, as per the results of the trials.
Chief Researcher Elena Smolyarchuk informed on July 12, 2020 that the human trials of Russia’s COVID vaccine have been completed and the volunteers will be discharged soon. Smolyarchuk is the head of Center for Clinical Research on Medications at Russia’s Sechenov University

On 9th July 2020 Loyal Textile Mills Limited launched Viral Shield, a line of COVID-19 anti-viral, reusable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), masks and protective fashion wear range.
The series has been launched in collaboration with Reliance Industries India and HeiQ from Switzerland.
The reusable masks, garments, and PPE kits are made with the Viroblock Technology of HeiQ Materials AG.
