Nuakhai Juhar was celebrated in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and areas of neighbouring states on August 23. The festival is to welcome the new crop of the season and it is celebrated to appreciate the hard work of the farmers.
On the eve of 74th Independence day, Padhai Tuhar Para Scheme (Education up to your locality) scheme launched by the chief minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel to benefit around 2.2 million children across the state.
Through this scheme the students will be able to study in their own neighbourhoods.
“Indira Van Mitan” Yojana was rolled out by Chhattisgarh government with an aim to make the forest dwellers of the state self-reliant. Under this scheme, the government will form groups of youth in 10,000 villages of tribal areas of the state to conduct all forest based economic activities that will create self-employment opportunities for the forest dwellers.

The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court P.R. Ramachandra Menon inaugurated the first State Level E-Lok Adalat of India from the Conference Hall of the Chhattisgarh State’s High Court in Bilaspur district. The E-Lok Adalat was conducted through video conferencing.
The E-Lok Adalat was conducted in 195 benches across the state of Chhattisgarh. A total of 3133 cases were placed before the 195 benches out which 848 cases were attended by 24 benches from the capital city of Chhattisgarh Raipur.
Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the whole country to provide the highest number of employment under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) during the lockdown period due to COVID-19.
