- Soumya Swaminathan ,Chief Scientist of World Health Organisation(WHO) has received Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s(CM’s) special award on the 74th Independence Day celebration at Fort St George, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in recognition for her advisory role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in the state ,while the Chief Minister’s Best Practices award was bagged by the Department of Treasuries.
