- Renowned Indian-American soil scientist Rattan Lal was on 11th June entitled this year’s winner of USD 250,000 World Food Prize, with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo admiring his research in soil science, saying he is serving millions of small farmers around the world with his work on rising food production and recycling of nutrients.
