- 1988 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh, Giridhar Aramane has been appointed as secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and HIghways. Proir to this he was serving as additional secretary in the cabinet secretariat.
- He has replaced Sanjeev Ranjan who has been appointed as secretary in the Ministry of Shipping.
