Mental health rehabilitation helpline “KIRAN” launched

• A toll-free mental health rehabilitation helpline “KIRAN” launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry. The helpline – 1800-500-0019 will provide relief and support to persons with mental illness.

Agriculture ministry approves soil testing labs in Kashmir

SIAM elected Kenichi Ayukawa as its new President & Vipin Sondhi as its Vice President

• The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) elected Kenichi Ayukawa  as its new President by replacing Rajan Wadhera. Prior to this he was the MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki.
• At the same time, Vipin Sondhi has been elected as the new vice president of SIAM. Prior to this he was the MD & CEO ofAshok Leyland.

• A 1996-batch IPS officer Charu Sinha has become the first woman commander to head the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) formation in the Kashmir Valley. She is currently serving as the CRPF IG in Jammu.
