World Athletics championship delayed to 2022

• The 2021 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon will be postponed to 2022 to accommodate the re-arranged Tokyo Olympics, World Athletics stated.
• The World Athletics Championships that were programmed to take place in Eugene on August 6-15, 2021, can no longer be held on those dates due to the shifting of 2020 Tokyo Games to 2021

Hindustan Unilever finishes its merger with GSKCH India

• Hindustan Unilever on 2^nd April declared fulfillment of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd’s merger (GSKCH) with itself.
• The company has obtained all the required regulator approvals along with the National Company Law Tribunal for the merger of GSKCH into the company, HUL stated.

COP26 climate change conference deferred until 2021 due to COVID-19

Central govt again defines domicile for J&K; Perks and Privileges of ex-CMs of J&K taken away

• The domicile of Jammu & Kashmir was redefined which has stated that a person residing in J&K for at least 15 years or has studied for a period of seven years there and appeared in Class 10 or 12 examinations will now be eligible to be a permanent resident of the UT.
• The perks and privileges of ex-Chief Ministers of Jammu & Kashmir have been taken away after the central government repealed section 3-C of State Legislature Members’ Pension Act, 1984.
