  • The 5th India International Cherry Blossom Festival has been canceled due because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The festival is held annually in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, to commemorate the unique autumn flowering of the Himalayan cherry blossoms and mark the beginning of India’s version of autumn.

  • He was born in Tadikonda in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. He got the Sahitya Akademi Award 2017, for his book Gaali Rangu.
