Modi-Morrison online summit: India, Australia sign landmark defense pact

• India and Australia on 4th June upgraded their bonds to a comprehensive strategic partnership and inked seven agreements including a landmark deal for reciprocal access to military bases for logistics support through an online summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison.

Indian writer Kritika Pandey gets the regional award for Asia in 2020 Commonwealth Short Story Prize

• The 29-year-old writer got for her story The Great Indian Tee and Snakes, which is about two young people trying to tell the idea of love in an era of hatred and prejudice.

Expert Lyricist Anwar Sagar passes away

• Ace lyricist Anwar Sagar passed away on 3rd June. Anwar wrote many famous songs in the 80s and 90s. He wrote the lyrics of the song “Waada Raha Sanam” for the 1992 film Khiladi, starring Akshay Kumar and Ayesha Jhulka.

SAI to release Khelo India e-Pathshala, an online coaching programme for grassroot level
