The state-run electricity giant National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Singrauli’s Unit 1 has emerged as the top-performing unit in the country in the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 as per the data released by Central Electricity Authority.
Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Shaktinagar in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is the first power plant of NTPC.

The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court P.R. Ramachandra Menon inaugurated the first State Level E-Lok Adalat of India from the Conference Hall of the Chhattisgarh State’s High Court in Bilaspur district. The E-Lok Adalat was conducted through video conferencing.
The E-Lok Adalat was conducted in 195 benches across the state of Chhattisgarh. A total of 3133 cases were placed before the 195 benches out which 848 cases were attended by 24 benches from the capital city of Chhattisgarh Raipur.

The 4^th edition of the All India Tiger Estimation 2018 has created the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest camera trap wildlife survey.
The All India Tiger Estimation is conducted every four year since 2006, by the National Tiger Conservation Authority with technical support from the Wildlife Institute of India.
In the fourth cycle of the survey, conducted in 2018-19, Camera traps (outdoor photographic devices fitted with motion sensors that start recording when an animal passes by) were placed in 26,838 locations across 141 different sites.
A total of 34,858,623 photographs of wildlife were captured by the 26,838 camera traps installed.
Of the total photographs, 76,651 were tigers and 51,777 were leopards while the remaining were other native fauna.

Mahendra Nath Pandey, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launched ‘Aatamanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer Mapping (ASEEM)’ portal on 10 July 2020 to help skilled people find sustainable livelihood opportunities.
ASEEM is an Artificial Intelligence-based platform to improve the information flow and bridge the demand-supply gap in the skilled workforce market.The portal will strengthen the career pathways of skilled workers by exploring emerging job opportunities especially in the post COVID era.
ASEEM has been developed and will be managed by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in collaboration with Bengaluru-based Company Betterplace

Akash missile was designed and produced by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). Akash Missile is the first medium-range Surface to Air missile produced in India which can attack many targets from various directions.

The Union Cabinet led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed a new pan India Central Sector Scheme under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.
The foremost goal of the scheme is to produce a medium-long term debt financing facility for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management Infrastructure and community farming assets through interest subvention and financial support.

A legal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked on 8th July between the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for data exchange between the two organizations.
MoU will promote the sharing of data and information between SEBI and CBDT on an automatic and regular basis.

The Union Cabinet on 8^th July authorized capital infusion of Rs 12,450 crore for three public sector general insurance companies namely Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, National Insurance Company Ltd & United India Insurance Company Ltd (consisting Rs 25,00 crore infused in FY 2019-20).
