First Kisan Rail flagged off from Andhra’s Anantapur to Delhi

• Union Minister for Agriculture Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy flagged off the second ‘Kisan Rail’ in India and the first from the South India region from Anantapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh to the national capital New Delhi.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally launched the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and e-Gopala App on September 10, 2020 for farmers in Bihar. The Prime Minister also launched several initiatives for the fisheries and animal husbandry sectors in Bihar.
• The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) aims to focus on the focused and sustainable development of the fisheries sector in the country.
• The e-Gopala App is a comprehensive breed improvement marketplace and information portal, which will be launched for direct use of farmers. The e-Gopala App will hence, aim to bridge the gap and provide viable solutions to the farmers on all these aspects.
