The World Economic Forum (WEF) has finalized to host its 2021 yearly meeting in Singapore, which earlier was planned to take place in Lucerne-Burgenstock, Switzerland from 13-16 May 2021.
The decision to shift the yearly forum from Switzerland has been taken in view of the Covid-19 situation in Europe.
The 2020 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting was conducted under the leadership of Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The theme of the APEC Malaysia 2020 was “Optimising Human Potential Towards a Resilient Future of Shared Prosperity: Pivot. Prioritise. Progress”.
India will host the Summit of the G20 Group in 2023. India was earlier slated to host the summit in 2022.
India and Indonesia have interchanged their respective hosting year of G20 as Indonesia would also host the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2023.
The 15th G20 Summit was conducted under the chairmanship of Saudi Arabia. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia chaired the Summit through video-conferencing, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two-day Summit was held under the theme “Realising the Opportunities of the 21st Century for All”.

The Summit was conducted under the Chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin.India will be taking over the Chairmanship of the BRICS in 2021 and host the 13th BRICS Summit in 2021.

The Summit was led by the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc because Vietnam is ASEAN Chair in 2020 (ASEAN holds the central role and leadership in the forum).
15 Asia Pacific countries have signed the world’s biggest free trade deal, led by China, on the sidelines of the 37th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
The deal called ‘Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)’, is the world’s largest trading bloc, comprising of 10 Southeast Asian countries, as well as South Korea, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
The 8th BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation Ministerial Meeting was conducted through a virtual platform for Science and Technology cooperation among the member countries, which are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
The meeting was held under the leadership of the Russian Federation.
