  • India’s financial capital Mumbai has appeared as the most expensive city in the country for expatriates in terms of the value of living.
  • According to Mercer’s ‘2020 Cost of Living Survey’, Mumbai is the 60th most valuable city for expatriates globally, while it ranks 19th in Asia.

India stands 168th on Environmental Performance Index 2020, Denmark top

  • India has stood on 168th out of 180 countries in the 2020 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), according to researchers at Yale and Columbia universities, who state that India’s decarbonization agenda requires to expedite, and the country suffers a number of serious environmental health risks, including poor air quality.

In THE Asia University Ranking 2020, 8 Indian institutes come into top 100

  • Time Higher Education (THE) has declared the THE Asia University Rankings 2020. 56 Indian institutes participated in the rankings this year from which eight have come in the top 100. Among the Indian institutes, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has appeared as the best with reserving its place at the 36th rank.

Forbes highest-paid celebrities: Kylie Jenner ranks first and Akshay Kumar (Rank 52) only Indian on the list

  • Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is the only Indian star to feature on Forbes 2020 list of World’s 100 Highest-Paid celebrities. While the actor’s rank has observed a drop from last year. Forbes also showed the actor’s earning and stated that Akshay had an approximated $48.5 million earnings this year, matched to $65 million last year. From the 33rd spot, Akshay has fallen to the 52nd spot.

India falls 6 Places to be indexed 23rd in StartupBlink’s Startup Ecosystem Rankings 2020, US Top

  • India has fallen 6 places to be ranked at 23rd spot in the StartupBlink’s Startup Ecosystem Rankings 2020, with a score of 5.698. Last year it was arranged at the 17th spot. The ranking is based upon three key factors: Quantity, Quality and Business Environment.

According to Forbes, Kohli had calculated total earnings of $26 million ($24m from endorsements and $2m from salary/winnings- June 1, 2019, until June 1, 2020).
