  • Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, with a net worth of $25.2 billion got the 2nd position. Tech tycoon Shiv Nadar acquired the third spot with a net worth of $20.4 billion.

  • IIFL Hurun India released the Rich List for the year of 2020. Reliance Industry’s Chairman Mukesh Ambani topped the IIFL Hurun India Rich List 2020 with a total wealth of Rs 6.58 lakh crore. He has topped the list of richest Indians for the 9th consecutive year.

  • HDFC Bank tops in 2020 BrandZ Top 75 Most Valuable Indian Brands ranking For Seventh Year in a Row. HDFC Bank has retained the top position among BrandZ Top 75 most valuable Indian brands list for 2020.
  • Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) secured second spoty, LIC was followed by Tata Consultancy Services, and Airtel. TCS bags the third spot with a valuation of $14.6 billion

Global Smart City Index 2020

  • The Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Singapore University for Technology and Design (SUTD) has jointly released the 2020 Smart City Index. 
  • Indian City, Hyderabad was placed at the 85th Position, New Delhi was placed at 86th Rank, Mumbai was ranked at 93rd Place and Bengaluru was at 95th Position.
  • The Index was topped by Singapore, followed by Helsinki and Zurich in the second and the third place respectively.

Mizoram ‘happiest’ state as per ‘India Happiness Report 2020’

  • In the overall ranking, Mizoram is first, Punjab is second while Andaman & Nicobar Island is third.

  • As per an annual report released on the Global Economic Freedom Index 2020 India has fallen 26 spots to rank at the 105th position. Hong Kong topped the index again, followed by Singapore at the second rank.
