    • He has over three decades of banking experience, and has also worked as the executive director in Oriental Bank of Commerce, before taking over as the Managing Director and CEO of Andhra Bank in 2015.

Men’s World Boxing championship 2021 to be held in Serbia

G-20 launches a new initiative to fight COVID-19

  • G-20 has launched a new initiative “Access to COVID-19 tools accelerator” under Saudi Arabia. The aim of this initiative is to make sure the availability of all tools necessary to fight COVID-19 to all the members countries.

ADB to provide a loan of $1 Billion to India for COVID-19

  • Asian development Bank(ADB) has signed a loan agreement with Government of India (GoI) of $1 Billion that will be utilized to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Govt. will focus on providing food security, medical kits and other essential equipments like ventilators, PPE kits etc.

Australia cancels the “Pitch Black 2020” air-combat exercise.

  • Australia has cancelled the multilateral air combat training exercise between India and Australia” Pitch Black 2020” due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has already affected more than 190 countries all over the world. This was informed by Air Marshal Meg Hupfeld, Chief of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), in a letter to Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, in mid-April.
  • Last edition was held in 2018 and next edition is scheduled to be held in 2022.
