Hyderabad in global top 20 in home price appreciation

Hyderabad has emerged as the only Indian city in top 20 among 150 global cities, in terms of appreciation in residential real estate prices, standing at the 14th spot with a 9% on-year rise in home prices, as per the Knight Frank’s Global Residential Cities Index Q3 2019.

Budapest leads the index, with the highest annual growth rate of 24%, followed by Xi’an and Wuhan in China at 15.9% and 14.9 per cent, respectively. Among other Indian cities that have seen an appreciation in home prices, New Delhi stood at the 73rd rank globally, with a 3.2% rise; Bengaluru at the 94th rank with a 2% appreciation and Ahmedabad at the 108th rank with a 1.1% growth.

Among the Indian cities which have seen de-growth in home prices, Kolkata was ranked at the 130th spot with a decline of 2%, Mumbai at the 135th rank with a de-growth of 3% and Chennai at the 136th rank with a fall of 3%. Pune was the lowest-ranked Indian city standing at the 138th spot, registering a 3.5% decline in home prices.

Telangana: Closure of Hindustan Fluorocarbons plant approved

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved closure of Hindustan Fluorocarbons Ltd (HFL), a central public sector enterprise with just 88 employees. The decision was taken in a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

HFL has only one plant located at Rudraram, District Sangareddy in Telangana. HFL has been making losses since 2013-14 and has negative net worth. Government granted a interest free loan of over 77 crore rupees to HFL for expenditure exclusively on closure.

Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao will inaugurate the 11-km stretch of corridor-II of elevated Hyderabad Metro Rail. It will starts from Jubilee Bus Station in Secunderabad and joins at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Hyderabad.

“V Safe Tunnel” for sanitization installed by Telangana Government

• Telangana  Government has installed a ” V Safe tunnel” at the office of DG of Police. It uses a combination of water-soluble polymer and iodine.
• It is capable of disinfecting a person from any possible bacteria or virus such as SARS and ebola.

Telangana launched ‘CybHer’ campaign with an aim to Tackle Cybercrime Against Women & Children

• The Telangana Director-General of Police, Mahender Reddy has launched an online cyber awareness campaign “CybHER” with an aim to make cyberspace safe for Women and Children.
• This month-long campaign has been organized by the Women Safety Wing of the Telangana State Police in collaboration with the Legal Aid Centre, and Symbiosis Law School at Hyderabad.
• The CybHER campaign aims to bring to light the immediate risks and threats faced by the vulnerable, women and children on cyberspace, which itself is as an interactive and informative platform for a healthy discussion on cyber safety.

Dharani land Web Portal initiated by Telangana

• Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be going to initiate Dharani land Web Portal Integrated land record management. Through this online portal, the citizens can avail of the revenue services Mutation, Land Conversion, and Registration Services, etc.
