- World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is observed globally on 19th August every year and this year marked the 11th edition of World Humanitarian Day.
- This day is celebrated to pay tribute to humanitarian personnel and those workers who lost or risked their lives while doing humanitarian service.
- The theme for 2020 WHD is #RealLifeHeroes.
