- The CSIR-CMERI has set up the world’s largest solar tree at its residential colony in Durgapur, West Bengal. The solar tree has an installed capacity above 11.5 kWp.
- The annual capacity of the solar tree will include generating about 12,000-14,000 units of clean and green power.
- Objective: to ensure maximum exposure of each Solar PV Panel to sunlight and create least amount of shadow area beneath.
