- Sumit Deb is appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) till 28th February 2023.
- He succeeds N. Baijendra Kumar(IAS) the current CMD of NMDC who superannuates on 31st July 2020.
