- First General Council meeting of the Khelo India Scheme held on 4th July which is chaired by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. He asked the states to organize State-level Khelo India Games annually with an effort to identify a larger number of grassroots-level talents and directed to organize competitions at the district, block, and panchayat-level to identify young talent.
