- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has declared a notification that FASTags will become obligatory for all four-wheelers, including old vehicles, from January 1, 2021.
- For this government has made an alteration in FORM 51 (certificate of Insurance), wherein the details of FASTag ID shall be captured. This shall be applicable w.e.f. April 1, 2021.
