- Indian theatre director and drama teacher, Ebrahim Alkazi, has passed away. He was 94.
- Ebrahim was considered as the father of modern Indian theatre and has mentored generations of actors, including Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Rohini Hattangadi, Surekha Sikri and Pankaj Kapoor.
