Student Health Card scheme for school children started in J&K

A “Student Health Card” scheme has been started in the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir. The scheme targets to check the malnutrition in school going children and to ensure good health of every school going children. The “Student Health Card” scheme was started during the programme which was organised by Directorate of Mid Day Meal, School Education Department in cooperation with the National Health Mission.

Objective: to ensure good health of school-going children, as health is a significant part of imparting quality education.

New Delhi to host an exhibition named “Jallianwala Bagh”

An exhibition named “Jallianwala Bagh” is scheduled to be organized in New Delhi. “Jallianwala Bagh” exhibition will be inaugurated by Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel on the occasion of 130th Foundation Day of National Archives of India (NAI). The exhibition targets to commemorate the centenary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre covering a period from 1915 to 1950. This exhibition will be based on the original documents.

Newly Discovered insect species named after singer Lady Gaga

  • On March 11, 2020 A newly discovered species of treehopper has been named “Kaikaia Gaga” after American singer Lady Gaga.
  • The species was named by Brendan Morris, PhD candidate in entomology from University of IllinoisUnited States (US).
  • The species were found near the Pacific coast of Nicaragua and the species seems to be beautiful, vibrant as pop diva, have crazy horns with wacky fashion sense.

World’s first commercial flying car PAL-V to be made in Gujarat

  • World’s first commercial flying car named ‘PAL-V Liberty’ will be prepared in Gujarat, India. PAL-V stands for Personal Air-Land Vehicle.
  • The PAL-V Liberty is a combination of a car and an autogiro, or gyroplane.
  • The PAL-V flying car can run at a speed of 160 kilometres on road and can fly at a speed of 180 km.

Reliance initiates India’s 1st COVID-19 dedicated hospital in Mumbai
